Seattle Bumbershoot Festival Fashion Show and Dance Performance

“… an imaginative exhibition that was part fashion show, dance performance and electro-pop concert helmed by Portland visionary Fuchsia Lin, or vice versa, that took over Bumbershoot’s Fashion District runway."

-Michael Rietmulder, Seattle Times

I was honored to be a featured designer for Seattle Bumbershoot’s Art and Music Festival. For their 50th anniversary celebration, I designed a six-piece collection inspired by butterflies. This collection made with sustainable materials brings attention to the recent monarch butterflies' addition to the endangered species list.

As our world moves through chaotic times, butterflies are significant symbols of transformation, freedom, and rebirth, They remind us of the metamorphosis that is part of life and that we’ll emerge from our cocoons as our new selves.

It was an honor to collaborate with a team of talented choreographers, musician and dancers.
